  • Currently working at Cadans in Eindhoven and will start at Price Waterhouse Coopers as assistant financial advisor (trainee) in November this year
In 2002, we asked
What have you been up to since leaving the ISSE?
After the I.S.S.E i went on to do my VWO at a dutch school. After receiving my diploma i started working at Hewlett Packard and also carried on studying. This is my last year and hopefully at the end of it i'll have my diploma for Praktijk Diploma Boekhouden (I honestly wouldn't know how to translate that into English!). Next year it's on to accountancy for 4 long years! (dear God....) I'm currently working at Cadans in Eindhoven and will start at Price Waterhouse Coopers as assistant financial advisor (trainee) in November this year.
I'm still enjoying the goodlife at home with my parents in Veldhoven and might possibly be ready to move out into the "big world" next year or so.
You could say i've become a little "dutchified" so if my sentences, etc don't seem to make sense then u know why!
What are your plans for the coming year(s)?
The Master Plan, once i'm done with my accountants degree, is to set up my own firm here in Holland and who knows where that'll lead to. Possibly a nice little villa on some caribbean island that i just happen to own, where i can laze about all day and sunbathe when i get old! ;-) Yes i know, wishful thinking!
Any particular memories of people/events/scandals from the ISSE?
As most of you will remember during my last year at the ISSE ('97) i choose to sleep rather than to study or even go to school for that matter! Still i have some really great memories from that place and i had some great times there too. Especially with Alice Pickering and Fatima Bouchibane (who still happens to be my bestfriend), one in particular was when we put up a picture of Alice showing off her bra(with her consent ofcourse!) on the notice board when we were about 15 and getting a good bollicking off Mrs Everid, we just couldn't keep our faces straight! She was just soooooo upset about the whole thing.  I remember ES4B were notorious in '95/'96. The teachers just couldn't seem to handle us (I wonder why?............hmmmm) In '97 i went on a school trip to spain and one night me, Alice Pickering and Phillippe van Gorp got so drunk that we could hardly walk home and once in our beds, couldn't get up. We actually slept in for the day trip to Madrid, i didn't wake up till some time in the afternoon, thanks to our spanish hostess clapping her hands as loud as possible in my face!  We ended up having to sit in a classroom with some unknown spanish students. Ms Scheltus was definitely not a happy lady when they all got back from Madrid!  There's plenty more to tell but i think i've taken up enough space for now and i'll leave the rest to the others........
